Showdown at Sundown

So I wanted to try to take my focus in a direction that's different from where it has been lately -- I wanted to make something that wasn't as strictly three dimensional as my last few paintings have been. Came out with this.

It's basically two different paintings, one of Twi' an' one of Trixie, an' Twilight was done first. At that, she was my first experiment in this new stylistic direction, an', while I like a lot of'er, there's still parts about her that I don't. Namely, you guessed it, the mane. Trixie's I'm actually really happy with though, accept that I forgot that the horn would cast light until I was almost finished, so I kinda slapped the lighting effects from it on kinda lazily.

Anyhoo, been meanin' to paint Trixie for a while, now I'm really glad I did. She's a *lot* of fun, an' I do really like the character.
